Vidor was born a slave in 1054 and charged as a blacksmith in the Royal Court of London, working directly for Lord Canute, a King in Waiting. Vidor is tasked with hunting and killing witches who are prophesied to bring about the end of the world. Vidor finds a baby called Esme hidden by a condemned woman and decides to save the baby, jumping through time using the great seal as a worm hole to modern-day London where time catches up to Vidor. He can no longer protect Esme and may have to band with his enemies to prevent Esme fulfilling her destiny and ending the world.
