  • waste of effort

I totally love horror videos and have seen dozens! Meltdown was the absolute worst video ever to be produced. The extra actors were so amateur. Heck, as far as that goes, ALL the actors were wannabees. I hope there wasn't a lot of money and effort put into this fiasco. Those who put this video together need to understand that there's a lot of good videos out there they need to compete with. To make a video just for the sake of making a video and hoping to become famous was a waste of their time and my time! My suggestion is to work with a real production crew first before attempting such an endeavor and put more effort into casting for those who know how to perform in front of a camera. The time I spent watching this video is gone forever.

  • Worse than awful

Sometimes I really wish that IMDb offered negative ratings. I want a button to push that says "I want my money back!" Or one that says "I want that hour and a half of my life back!" Like this is so badly done I want to file a class action suit to make sure these filmmakers never make another film. This movie would have been better if hey had left the lens cap on. I try to imagine the production meetings that were made to bring this...thing to life. "Hey man, I wrote this script. It doesn't make any sense. There is no overall arc, and the characters aren't ever developed. But let's make it anyway!" I wonder how these crappy independent filmmakers have zero self-awareness. At no point was this story ever good.

  • Not Sure Who is Leaving Many Stars But...

I'm going to venture a guess that most people leaving ratings and NOT feedback are involved with this horrible excuse of a film and not legitimate reviewers. I hope every actor involved hangs their head in shame. I hope the writer is ashamed. I hope the producers and director have left the country. This is what happens when you don't have people that respect the art of filmmaking make a film. I want to destroy every physical copy of this film. I'm afraid one day, aliens will find this and think this is how earthlings made movies. Embarrassing.

The opening of the film, the non-zombie introduction of characters was quite good, with perhaps the best proposal scene I have witnessed on film, it was good for a laugh. After we get through the birthday blues and the rejection, we start with the zombie part which was a satire of other zombie films where Hunter (Jacob O'Brien Mulliken) is an over-the-top hero, a role he has written for himself, i.e. he plays a writer. The film ends without closure open for a sequel. The film suffered from its budget. It was unpolished in plot and acting. I think Jacob O'Brien Mulliken is on the right track, I felt he didn't think things through, i.e. not know where he wanted to end while he was filming. Guide: F-word, sex. No nudity. Troma style effects.

  • Zero budget cannibal zombie attacks

    Leofwine_draca2017-03-05

MELTDOWN is yet another addition to the endless wave of low budget zombie movies currently coming out of North America. This independent, shot-on-video production is even worse than most I've seen, featuring truly terrible camera-work and a general seen-it-all-before vibe that makes it a real chore to watch. The story is about three friends who find themselves in a wave of cannibalistic attacks. They take refuge in a house, and for the second half of the production the narrative gets bogged down in an endless flashback which adds absolutely nothing to the film other than padding out the running time. A couple of splattery gore scenes does not a good film make; this is real junk.
