This low budget horror has a man with a tragic past coming back to his childhood home after his wife leaves him. Not taking the divorce well he goes to therapy where he meets a girl named Amy. She eventually moves in with him and he learns something is not right with her. What he doesn't know is that she is a conduit for really nasty spirits. The acting in this one is kind of stale and to boot a lot of times the scenes are just boring. For some reason though you keep watching to find out what the deal is that is until an hour in.. Not really any violence but a fair share of nudity. Getting to the very end of this one is a challenge though. I kept saying I Conduit, I Conduit.
This is one of those horror flicks that take upon choices that horror fans, like myself tend to dislike. One of those films that goes on, and on, and on for what seems to be forever, and even pointless. First off, what's wrong with the film. This film, right off the bat, is utterly boring, and clichéd. You have the typical guy that tries to start fresh after a divorce, and what seems to be the downfall of his life. On Top of that, he's a character with a traumatizing past / childhood that now comes to haunt him once again in more ways than one. Sound familiar? He comes across this girl, she's quiet, sketchy, and iffy. Again. Sound familiar at all? This said girl meets our main character; From a council session. After one small outing, they're already living with each other, and having sex galore. First off, this films plot is utterly confusing. There seems to be no point anywhere here. It overall just revolves around our main character, and his pointless struggles with this homeless girl he takes in from the council sessions. Not only that, but through 40 minutes of the film, all we really get to watch is our main character having sex over, and over, and over with this random girl, a girl of which he barely even knows as the fact stands he doesn't exactly talk as much as other characters would. Throughout this entire film. We watch as our character is subjected to sudden, and pretty much pointless events that literally serve no point; Example being said characters wake up to darkness, only to wake up; bringing us to this next flaw. This film has never ending dream sequences. NOTHING seems to be truly real, unless it involves the girl our main character found acting weird, or spastic. So not only is it pointless, boring, and utterly confusing. But annoying, overall. As the film progresses, from the 10 minute mark. We face one of the most annoying flaws in modern "horror". Pointless dialog. In a horror movie, mostly, you want facts about what's after you, or you just want to get to the point! Not just stand around, throwing random, pointless, and even terrible convocations at one another that won't phase the film in any way whatsoever! And the fact that this movie lasts an entire hour, and 40 minutes is agonizing, as the first hour is honestly just jumbled, confusing, and just flat our pointless! To wrap things up, so this entire review doesn't become pointless, in the sense of an overall pointless movie, don't watch this. There are many horror films that manage to succeed unlike this one, sadly. Here you have cliché characters, boring, agonizingly long, pointless convocations that are meaningless. Constant, annoying dream sequences, that, again, do nothing. Occurrences to the characters that are supposed to be scary, but don't come off as such, and overall twists, and turns that do nothing, either that, or just flat out fall out on its face. This horror film was disappointing, and the only thing I could really say positive about this film is that the acting wasn't as bad as others have. But overall, skip this. This honestly was a big waste of time, and didn't pay off in the slightest.
This is soft core porn dressed up like the most boring, non scary horror movie ever. And i get that it's low budget but the quiet parts were super quiet and the loud parts were loud and fuzzy and the dark parts were too dark and the acting was AWFUL. Seriously, don't watch this. The only performance i didn't hate was the guy who plays Gabriel, and he isn't even credited. If you're into a movie that will assault your eyes, ears and good sense, go ahead.
Eddie Marquez (Wes Martinez) has just inherited an "awfully nice house" from his aunt. He has trouble coping with his divorce. As a child he had a traumatic experience when his mother went berserk and shot the family, including young Eddie twice in the chest. He survived, she went missing. After a botched suicide attempt he meets Amy (Monica Engresser) at group. She moves in and becomes his lover and model. He helps her with "Mr. Jones." We find out Eddie is afraid of the dark. Bad things happen around Eddie who has bad dreams and is a person of interest to the police. The plot is explained to us at an hour and 25 minutes into the film by an old gas station attendant. Unfortunately the film didn't get much better after that. The killings were not seen by design, so the horror aspect was light. The characters were not likable as Eddie was moody, his friend was a pig and Amy had incredible mood swings. Guide: F-word, sex nudity (Monica Engresser, Carrie Fee)
