i didn't expect much out of it, just something to pop on maybe have some laughs but it actually pulled me in. It wasn't as mindless as other B-movies. And lets get that straight. It's a B movie. You gotta have your B-movie goggles on if you wanna enjoy this. I actually liked the concept behind the zombies in this flick, with the whole thing with the black plague and the terrorists. That being said with the goggles on, it was great. It was a pretty good attempt. I really give these guys props. the acting was way better than I thought it was gonna be and they didn't go overboard with the make-up which was actually pretty convincing. So in a nutshell, if you like B indie flicks and want to check out a fun, decently-shot low-budget movie, check this out. now, i got it on Instant Video on Amazon. is it worth the DVD? Don't think so at the price it's at right now (definitely would by the movie for 5 bucks), but it's worth a look! I hope these guys keep working at it and look forward to seeing what they do next!

  • I'd rather be eaten by zombies

What do a vacuum and a vampire and this movie all have in common? They all suck!! Bad joke? Yup. Worse movie. I can deal with s lot of crap in the movies I watch. I love zombie movies and most of them are B movies. This one is no exception. And that's fine. But it's hitting all the points I hate in zombie movies. Lame looking zombies, horrid acting and more holes in the story than swiss cheese. With some practice and a retooled script it might have a chance. As it is now it's fit for the bottom of my cats litter pan. But even then my cats might not like it. Ewwwwwwwwww! What? More lines? I said it sucked already!!

  • Somewhat disappointing but still decent zombie effort

Following a terrorist attack, the staff and student body of a Florida university find that a viral epidemic has spread across the campus and turning those unaffected into ravenous zombies forcing them to find a way to find a way to a potential vaccine through the hordes of creatures. This was quite a disappointing if still decent low-budget zombie effort. When this one works, it's due to the rather intriguing storyline that puts far more weight on the discovery of a cure than anything else. Mainly because it focuses on the students at the university and how they're studying the effects of the virus, the way it goes from the first half of their normal life into being about the need for the cure. Being that the timeliness of actual events with the connection to actual biological conditions and terrorist actions following all the discussions about the online videos and biblical signs comes off really nicely here, and overall makes for a somewhat compelling storyline. Once it shifts into the big zombie action scenes, this one really picks up nicely with plenty of enjoyable battles and confrontations with the creatures from the initial swarming in the lobby to the ambush in the classroom and all the smaller run-ins throughout the hallways of the school give this one a really fun pacing during the middle section with a strong assortment of big battles. As well as these fun scenes, the finale in the bunker offers up a great conclusion here with a solid offering of a great way to battle the threat and generates some solid battling against the zombies on the whole. Alongside the fine zombie make-up, these here are what works for this one although there are a few flaws to the film. One of the main issues here is the somewhat obscure pacing that crops up in the film, as this one feels incredibly uneven here. The opening half takes a while to get going as there's a rather lengthy build-up of topical and political nonsense that ends up pushing the main attack back because of the initial set-up here, and then from there it's somewhat curious as to how the zombies actually show up with it turning into the endless series of confrontations that speed this one up rather nicely. However, at that point, it decides to slow down and offers a prolonged get-to-know-the-characters sequence that turns this into a much longer and dragged-out sequence that really doesn't do much for the film after that stellar series of action scenes. That slows this one down rather significantly as they end up relaxing and letting down their guard too much in that situation which ends up affecting the overall pace here. The other big issue here is the low budget on display, which does hinder this one considerably. The whole look of the college, the confined nature of the supposed apocalypse that never comes to fruition and the telling of great action rather than showing it all comes across here and doesn't really help the film all that much. Likewise, the fact that this is considerably light on gore for a zombie apocalypse is a big issue here and all-told really hold this one down. Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence and Graphic Language.

  • Hurts to watch...

Can someone PLEASE take me to the ER? I'm in serious need of medical attention. I'm lying on the floor, in a pool of my own vomit, gasping for air, lungs burning, floating in and out of consciousness, disoriented, no sense of smell, sweating, can't focus, lost all feeling in my legs, both arms are dead, my head hurts, my stomach is turning, mouth is dry, uncontrollable spams every five minutes, voice is gone - can't cry for help. Can someone please try to find me? I'm not sure how long I am going to last. I fear this could be my last moments. Coughing blood now and apparently suffering from acute blindness. Who knew? I mean - I had no idea. THAT THIS IS HOW IT FEELS LIKE TO BE ANNOYED TO DEATH BY AMATEURS!

Islamic terrorists release an anthrax zombie virus. Dr Rober Hooke (Joe Coffey) has the cure in his lab, all he has to do is get there with his entourage of students. The film takes 30 minutes to develop. At that point the zombies attack. The make-up needed to be taken up a notch. There was no consistency to the zombie movement. Virus zombies run. Raise from the dead zombies, foot drag. These did neither, they walked at a normal pace with a token foot drag. Who is directing this stuff? No one has access to a gun so zombies had to be kick boxed to death or at least into submission. The fighting choreography also left something to be desired. This is a very low recommended view. One must really love no budget films. Parental Guide: F-bomb. No sex or nudity.
